Careers at Anka Space

Why Join Anka Space?

Who We’re Looking For

Why Join Anka Space?

At Anka Space, we are not just building rockets—we are shaping the future of space travel. Our mission is to develop reusable rocket technology that will make spaceflight more accessible and affordable. We are a team of driven, hands-on individuals who thrive on challenges and believe in pushing boundaries. If you want to work in an environment where execution matters more than PowerPoints, where ideas turn into real hardware, and where you can have a direct impact on the future of spaceflight, this is the place for you.

What You’ll Gain

Who We’re Looking For

Why Join Anka Space?

At Anka Space, you'll gain hands-on experience working directly on hardware, design, testing, and integration—no endless paperwork, just real work that flies. You'll be part of a fast-paced environment alongside engineers, entrepreneurs, and visionaries who are obsessed with getting things done. We value execution, giving you the opportunity to take ownership and make a direct impact from day one. This isn’t about maintaining the status quo—we are here to build the next generation of rockets and space infrastructure.

Who We’re Looking For

Who We’re Looking For

Who We’re Looking For

We need problem solvers, builders, and risk-takers—people who don’t wait for permission to innovate. If you thrive in fast-moving environments and want to be part of a team that’s actually building hardware, you belong here.

Open Position

Propulsion Engineer

Mechanical Engineer – Rocket Systems (Landing, Valves, Gimbal Integration)

Propulsion Engineer

We are seeking a highly driven Propulsion Engineer to design, develop, and integrate a pressure-fed LOX-based propellant feed system for our first reusable rocket prototype. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable delivery of propellants into an existing rocket engine—already designed and built—and for seamlessly integrating that engine into the overall vehicle structure. This position is critical in guaranteeing safe, efficient, and precise engine performance during vertical takeoff, hover, and landing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Propellant Feed System Design - Develop and optimize the pressure-fed LOX propellant feed system, including tanks, valves, pressure regulators, and associated piping.
  • Engine Integration - Work closely with mechanical, structural, and avionics teams to physically integrate the existing rocket engine into the vehicle, ensuring alignment with thrust vector control (TVC) and overall guidance systems.
  • Performance Verification - Plan and oversee relevant ground tests—such as static fire tests or flow checks—to validate feed system performance, safety, and reusability criteria.
  • Failure Analysis & Rapid Iteration - Diagnose and address issues related to propellant flow, fluid dynamics, or structural stress. Implement iterative improvements under fast-paced development timelines.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Coordinate with structural, mechanical, avionics, and test teams to maintain alignment on design requirements, schedules, and vehicle integration milestones.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with liquid rocket engines (preferably LOX-based).
  • Experience with high-pressure fluid systems and propellant handling.
  • Proficiency in propulsion system modeling & simulation tools (ANSYS, MATLAB, OpenFOAM, or equivalent).
  • Experience designing and executing static fire tests with safety and performance validation in mind.

Avionics Engineer

Mechanical Engineer – Rocket Systems (Landing, Valves, Gimbal Integration)

Propulsion Engineer

We’re looking for an Avionics Engineer to spearhead the design, integration, and testing of our rocket’s electronic systems. In this critical role, you’ll ensure the guidance, navigation, and control systems operate flawlessly, enabling the rocket to achieve its autonomous flight goals. You’ll work hands-on with advanced technology and collaborate closely with a skilled team to bring this ambitious project to life.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and integrate avionics systems, including sensors, flight computers, communication systems, and power management.
  • Work with the Control Systems Engineer to implement and test autonomous flight algorithms.
  • Ensure reliable telemetry and data transmission for real-time monitoring during tests and flights.
  • Troubleshoot hardware-software integration issues and optimize system performance.
  • Develop safety protocols for electronic systems to meet project standards.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident
  • Degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field (current students, recent graduates, or professionals welcome).
  • Hands-on experience with avionics systems, embedded systems, or robotics.
  • Proficiency with tools like MATLAB, C/C++, or PCB design software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiasm for rocketry and innovation—previous aerospace experience is a bonus but not required.

Mechanical Engineer – Rocket Systems (Landing, Valves, Gimbal Integration)

We are seeking Mechanical Engineers to design and integrate critical mechanical components for our first reusable rocket prototype. This role involves working on landing legs, high-pressure valves, structural reinforcements, and possibly the gimbal system for thrust vector control. You will play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity, functionality, and performance of key rocket systems.

Responsibilities

  • Landing System Design: Develop and test lightweight, impact-resistant landing legs for precision landing.
  • Valve & Fluid System Integration: Work on high-pressure LOX/Kerosene fuel valves, actuators, and plumbing.
  • Structural Optimization: Design lightweight but strong load-bearing components using advanced materials.
  • Gimbal System (Optional): Assist in designing and integrating thrust vector control (TVC) mechanisms.
  • Vibration & Load Testing: Simulate and validate mechanical stress under extreme conditions.
  • Manufacturing & Prototyping: Work with CNC machining, 3D printing, and composite materials.
  • Collaboration with Propulsion & Avionics Team: Ensure seamless integration between mechanical, propulsion, and guidance systems.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in mechanical system design, preferably for aerospace applications.
  • Strong understanding of material properties, loads, and failure analysis.
  • Experience with CAD (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
  • Experience with high-pressure fluid systems, valves, and actuation.
